All 3 kids are sick...
Josiah had high Fever On and Off and bad cough since Thurs night...
Aparently he had a Viral attack, same as jie jie... After the 3 weeks ordeal with Jie Jie, now Josiah has got it... His fever always on and off, morning may be fine but night time, the monstrous fever would be back... :(
He can't sleep well cause phlegm is stuck at both the nose and throat so when he sleeps, he will get choked while breathing... Am very worried... Sunday night after a visit from my gran's place, his fever is back... I stayed up to look after him till the next med feed at 3:30am worried that he may over heat... at 1 plus, fever shot up again... Its 2 hrs plus before the next medication.. how?
Monitored him, never had a wink of sleep no matter how tired I was and his fever didn't seem to go away except, it went higher. So woke hubby up at 2plus and argued if we should bring him to the doc or not... He thinks I'm making a big fuss that its only high fever, his body's way of fighting the virus... I know that but which mother will not be worried... I quarreled with him cause even though I woke him up and tell him that Josiah's fever is 39.3°C, he went back to sleep after a while.. which made me more pissed. I couldn't understand how come he can still sleep when I'm like already on my toes...
Josiah's fever shot up higher and I couldn't care less and decided that I should send him to KKH even if the doc were to say that he's okie.. At least get some medication meanwhile before Doc Tan comes back right?
Eventually, he went with me... He still cares afterall.
We took a cab with Josiah and went to KKH, waiting time was okie.. Doc called for us... She told and assured me that no matter how high is the fever, it WILL NOT cause brain damage... Hello??? Can u imagine that ur own child burning till 39.6°C or 40°C and a mother can think that it will not cause any harm to her child.. her precious child..
Anyway, doc on duty suggested that the nurses will attempt to suck out the mucus from his nose with the machine... I thought it will make him better but I was wrong... Nurses ask us to wait till 4am since Josiah just drank a little milk worried that he will puke if they were to suck the mucus now. So we waited outside. Josiah seemed better and started babbling to us and to others. Another mummy even commented that he was sick yet he still wants to play... lol
At 4am, Josiah was sleeping when I passed him to the nurses and he woke up once "mummy" didn't smell right... they placed him on the bed and drew the curtains. The next thing I heard was the motor being turned on and Josiah crying... My heart ache started... Its was a nightmare hearing ur baby cry, not able to see what they are doing to him and he's screaming. Hubby ask me to go out of the room knowing that I cannot take it but I insisted to be there.. I want to be there to carry him once the nightmare is over... I want to be the first to hold him and assure him that I'm still around and I didn't want him to go through the pain but I have no choice... Tears just formed in my eyes.
I heard the motor turned off and the nurses drew the curtains. I went over to carry him immediately and assure him that mummy loves him and I'm sorry... Nurses then told us that they couldn't get much out from his nose and may have to do it again later... They told us to wait outside for a while and give him the glucose water cause he may vomit.
Josiah after that was not himself cause he didn't want the glucose water... A while later, doc called us into the room and advise the medication to give... I was quite happy that she didn't ask for another session of the horrible mucus sucking machine... So we just went to the pharmacy to collect the medicine. Shortly, Josiah sneezed and we got a shock cause we saw strands of blood. Immediately I brought him back to the Doc's room and Doc explained that it's temporarily. Most probably, due to the sensitivity of the nose membranes, membranes may have tear but doc assures its temporarily. If bleeding persist, it should be some other problems...
Brought him home and he was still fussing... He didn't want milk cause I think its painful... Really breaks my heart to see him like that.
Now he's still having fever... just hope that the ordeal will be over soon...
Tomorrow will be bringing all 3 out to see Doc Tan since she is back.. Kiasu mummy has already made appointment for tomorrow. Just hope that its not something serious...
*crossing fingers...

Sick Sick Sick
Recently, family members fell ill one by one... feels like its a curse... Sigh... spent a lot on medical bills this month.
Everyone seems to have caught either the flu bug or the "cough" bug...
I lost my voice for 2 weeks, on and off... went to see doc and doc say its Sinus... Ears blocked, throat pain & etc... Doc said if I take that med no good, have to go hospital to insert tube in my nose to drain mucus.. goodness gracious... :( Med that day costs me $42 loh... :(
Hubby got bad cough, diahhrea and sore throat.. he will cough in the middle of the night till he puke.. :(
Girl Girl having bouts of high fever on and off since 3rd of May... sigh...
Both boys coughing... Oh my, what should I do?
Family doc is away for holidays, dun trust the other part timers leh..
Girl Girl's fever went up to a high 40.6°C two nights ago... totally freaked me out... So last night went KKH to buy the AquaCool "water pillow" for her to lie.. Its a pillow with Coolen inside to keep body cool... Coax her till she sleep soundly then put her on the pillow cause she refused to be placed on the pillow or to be sponged despite her high fever of 39.7°C... What should I do?
Really hope that her fever comes down soon.. haven't been sleeping much lately..
Radish says that he will be talking to me tomorrow ... Hope its good news... at least any form of increment can help the family abit...
Am sad that Berry's leaving soon.. as time goes, the "She Bu De" feeling is getting stronger and some more she has passed me her stationaries liao... I now have 2 hand me downs from ex colleagues.. sad to see ppl leaving but well, think its inevitable if there are greener pastures outside, isn't it?
Well wishes to Berry - all the best k? Still the lau tao hua: All the Best for your future Endeavours...
Wishes to Ducky and MB - Hehehe wish u fulfil ur Recep dream k? Got Bonus liao dun forget me hor.. hahahhahhaha
Will update more on days when I have enough sleep.. hahahah

Aunt's wedding... Dec 2006
Hi, Finally got hold of the thumbdrive that has all the pics...
As customs are such that the groom got to pick the bride up, bring him home then come back to thank the family. As Uncle Geof's home is in Auzzie, doesn't make sense for them to go to Aus and come back right?heheheh. So they went off and got in the wedding car and drove 2 rounds before coming back...
First cup of tea is always for parents... As my Grandfather is not around... only granny is there to drink the tea... although my aunt is not her own daughter, she still teared seeing her get married...
Another pic of mum drinking the tea... My little girl decided to join in the fun but we had to get her out of there before she breaks the cups... lol
More tea and more ang pows... Chinese traditions is that the elder ones will drink tea served by my Aunt and Uncle... So as my Aunt is 2nd from the bottom, she had to serve tea to about 8 bros and sis then be served by 1 uncle cause he is younger than my aunt... kekeke
So more pics of teas being served...
As this uncle is the youngest, he and wife has to serve tea to Aunt and Uncle Geof... and of course got ang pow to take... quite good to be the youngest isn't it?
Uncle Geof's bro - heheh realise who's the little girl at the bottom of my pic? Lol, my girl like to "Chap Ji Kar"
From left: My cuz, Aunt in her gown and Gran (taken before Uncle Geof came)
Didn't have pics of Uncle Geof being locked out of the house cause we were crowding at the door that my bro couldn't squeeze through.. heheheh

This was taken after Uncle Geof came to pick the bride. Aunt has already changed into her 2nd costume... Now its Tea Ceremony...

I've always think that my gran is a very nice and strong woman that she could tahan her hubby bring home 5 kids from another woman for my gran to look after... If it was me, I think I would have killed the man. But gran didn't and brought up all 5...
Aunt is one of them... but when she got married, my gran cried... Aunt cried too... She have always recognise gran as her real mother...
Don't they look good together?
As Daddy was the eldest, it was their turn... But dad couldn't make it as he was working that day... So mum had to drink the tea on his behalf as well... :)
Another pic of mum drinking the tea... My little girl decided to join in the fun but we had to get her out of there before she breaks the cups... lol
This is my Aunt, 2nd in line... so her turn for tea.

My crazy aunt wants to take pics with her "Shao Zhu"
As we requested, what's a wedding like without the bride and groom kissing... lol
The bride and groom before they left...
Rem I talked about Uncle Geof making his own Fondant wedding cake...
Here's the pic...
See the ring on the cake? Its their wedding ring...
Close up pic of the cake
At the hotel, Holy Matrimony. Aunt was crying all the way. Well, it was tears of happiness...
Exchanging vows...
Aunt was crying and couldn't say anything... She was very emotional that day... too happy I guess...
Group photo after the ceremony.. Aunt still crying... lol
From Left: Uncle Geof's sis or sis in law... Uncle Geof's brother's daughter, Aunt, Uncle Geof, his bro, and the Registra
Aunt still crying but she still looks beautiful in her wedding gown..
Cutting the cake..
Lastly a pic of my chubby little prince... :)
I'm very happy that Aunt got married. She's in Aussie now and we miss her lots...
Wish her happiness forever and ofcourse hope that God will bless her with a blissful and fruitful marriage... Hope that soon we'll have news of little baby Geof... lol...

Uncle Geof was willing to go through the customary of "Ying Jie Xin Niang" so he came in the morning and found himself locked out of the house until he gave us the Ang Pow... hahahah
We as the Jie Mei, since aunts are all married, we were authorised to lock him out till we neg a good price.. hehehe
Two cheeky monkeys which went to "kop" Banna and hide at the corner to eat... Hoping that mummy won't realise...
"Yummy" They were waiting for the wedding thing to start...
They were eating and eating... My girl got herself a Char Siew Pao... lol
See her gleaming.. hahaha
Still eating Char Siew Pao
All dress up in her pretty white dress... Actually she was the little flower girl but too bad.. family issues they got her uncles and aunties to be the flower boy and girl instead...
Don't have much pics of the whole process as the pics are in dad's thumb drive.. Will upload pics of the tea ceremony soon.
After the Tea Ceremony, we went back to mom's place to rest for a while before heading to Merchant Hotel for her Holy Matrimony.
From left: Joshua, bro, mum and dad at the ballroom waiting for ceremony to start.
Girl Girl at the Ceremony.
Uncle Geof even made and brought his own Fondant cake and brought it from Australia... So sweet isn't it? He made his own wedding cake... *wished that I have the pics now cause I took pics of the sweet looking cake...*

The three of us
Josiah... trying to reach the bag.. lol
How should I start this?
Was wondering why I have a blog for when its only for posting pictures... shouldn't it be something for me to write for my everyday life?
Recently have a lot of discussion about my colleague leaving... Have a lot of "Gan Chu". I understand what she's going through cause I've been through the same thing before...
3 yrs ago tendered my resignation as another company was trying to poach me and paying me a market rate salary for my duty at that time... I know I've been under paid for my role at that time and it was about 30% lesser but as I was very happy and contented in the current co, I didn't thought of going to find another job... Its about the comfort zone thing again... who would want to go out of your comfort zone?
So I tendered to my manager... At lunch, saw my boss at the coffee shop so just told him that I had tendered (my intention was just to inform him about it since he was the one whom bought over my company and brought us over to the current one..). Never thought that he told me that he will have a talk with me later...
After he had his lunch, he really came to approach me and talked to me... So I told him about my offer and told him that I really needed the money and it was also the market rate for that post. He counter offered.... although it was not higher than the other company but I knew it was the best that he can offer cause as an SME, they had a lot of restrictions and I knew that if I had left, the company could lose the contract with the customer since I was the only person heading that. After much consideration, I stayed.
Unfortunately, after less than 1 yr later, the contract ended. I was reverted back to my old salary and position. I was very disappointed as I could not see what the company had for me. Even though I had the licensing knowledge in Microsoft products, no one seem to knew that and I am just left at the helpdesk taking calls. Sometimes I feel dejected as I know I can do so much more than just helpdesk... Unfortunately till now.. its been 2 yrs already and I'm still at helpdesk level. Its never where I thought I would be 5 yrs in this line.
I seriously feel that in this company, you have to carry balls in order to climb but I'm not such a person. I don't see why a person have to "por" and all the office politics are so scary...
The pickles and cabbage thing is a very good example... Bcos she can feed him with a lot of information heard from us, she's very well "valued". I feel very sad as I know I don't want to be still in the same position another 5 yrs down the road but my charactor is such that I don't like to "por"...
I also feel that the company only look out for themselves and not employees... when they need us, they try all means and ways to make us stay. But when they don't, they don't value you...
BB, I really feel happy for you as this opportunity is very good for you... even if you do not stay there for long, having an MNC experience in ur resume will add so much more value. Of course its not easy to stay in an MNC but do take it as a challenge and not personal. Don't stress urself too much in a job, yes you got to give 100% but dun give ur life k? U read the story that MB sent? The girl over worked and over stressed in MNC then in the end . You must know how to cope with stress k?
I am looking for better opportunities now as I have 3 mouths to feed. I haven't been getting much stuffs for myself and all spending on family and kids...
After having my sometimes adorable, sometimes can be devil, little ones, I have been keeping or spending all my money on them... But its a pleasure to spend on them.. lol seeing the smile on their face.
I've got friends or just acquaintances asking me how I cope with 3. Lol... I get by by doing side line loh.. hahahah
I do boarding of dogs to earn extra income loh.. I've always loved dogs but as my bro has been asthmatic since young, we couldn't have any pets... Now that we have our own family, we adopted Rosie 1 yr plus ago. Now having 3 kids and 1 dog, hubby dun allow another dog in the family so we can only do boarding... so I can earn some extra income and can play and look after different breeds of dogs... 1 stone kill 2 birds isn't it?
Recently some one offered adoption of Charcoal, a CHH but my request to hubby was rejected... sigh...
Here's a pic of him:
Here's another pic:
Pity that I can't adopt him right?
Well.. hubby say when his 3 Mil deal comes in or when we have 100K in our bank, he will get me one CHH to fulfil my childhood dream... let's hope by that time he will still rem about this promise...
Hahahah maybe by then, I this sotong may have already forgotten about it.. hehehhe
